When I talk to people who justify their participation in war it seems like they are brainwashed. They only talk about how right it is and how they HAD to do what they did. I believe that one should protect his country when somebody is trying to oppress them. But there is no justification for oppression. You have to understand that your army are the aggressors in this case and that you invade their country, so how can you say that they should not resist occupation?

the only men i fired at in combat were firing their weapons at me, war is kill or be killed. What gets me is the dishonoralbe actions of a small percentage of us soldiers gives the rest of us a bad name, I joined the Army because i wanted to serve my country, and when i was deployed i served with pride and honor. while some **** heads give the rest of us bad names. The Haditha killings were justified, they observed fire coming from the house and they did what they were trained to do. Fighting an enemy thats blended into the population is frustrating, you dont know who the enemy is, one of the ING guys was arrested for giving tips to the Insurgents when we would launch raids, he was a Insurgent the year before but he chose to join the Iraqi army because of the money. and i didnt become a Firefighter because i think it will get me into heaven, i became one because it was my dream o be a Fireman for years. I never murdered anyone in Iraq, i just beat the other guy with his gun to the punch. Dont judge me or my comrades because of the actions of a small percent of soldiers who did such crimes, i was loyal to my country and faithfull to the Army for three years, and a expeirence i do not regret, i served with the best bunch of guys ive ever met, and even though i wanted to serve in Afghanistan but i served in Iraq, a war i personally do not belive in, i am proud to be a War Veteran of the United States Army, 3rd Stryker Brigade 2nd Infantry Division

I agree, and I apologize if I insulted anyone. Nobody wants war, so please don't glorify it. I just get so frustrated when people make excuses to justify the killings of innocent people.

The inhumane torture of civilians in Abu Ghraib is the perfect way to explain what YOU are doing in Iraq. How come there where no bombings in markets before you colonized the country? You did what you where ordered to do, YES….Who ordered it? GOD? No….Rumsfeld, Cheney, Rice and Bush did. All of them used to work in the oil business and they all knew Iraq where going its own path not making business with the US.
