True Life: I'm a Nuyorican
Well as a Nuyorican myself I have to say I was totally embaressed by this episode! MTV chose complete IDIOTS for this. It should have been called True Life: I need English Speaking Classes. Now you know why the Hooters waitress wanna be didn't get the job! Yes there are some dumb, illeterate and ghetto speaking Puerto Ricans but there are some of those in all cultures. Rose's mom comes to her first professional belly dancing gig and realizes how much joy it brings her daughter.
 
She was proud but I know that deep down she was still kind of disappointed. She'll think about it "when" she has children with her Ecuadorian bf and they ask her questions she doesn't know the answers to. Good Luck! ... more

OMG! What in the world has MTV done to the NUYORICANS?!!! I can not believe the choices that they made to represent Nuyoricans!!! Lets start with Jose, who at least has a goal and has people around him to encourage and lead him the right way. Then there is Rose who really has an identity problem.
