So I hear you on the making money thing. Although if making money were the only measure of success worthy of emulation, then the world would be populated with little wannabe Bill Gates and Donald Trumps. Really, on the comical, ethnic languages, it's ok you know - most of the successful rappers are all basically middle-class kids who ACT all "gangsta". Judging Language

Hi fierce, I heard that comment too, from Lil Mama - "you guys are ery characteristics". And I appreciate your interpretation - that REALLY helped. I also agree with you, that was a very good comment, now that I understand what it means. Maybe her language skills give the impression that she does not have meaningful comments. Language is there so that ideas can be expressed and understood - I'm having trouble deciphering. Maybe I should stick to "Dancing with the Stars".... more

Judging Language

I think I understand the dancers -- the acrobatic moves are very interesting and fun to watch. The level of dexterity, balance, and feeling is very sophisticated. They are very hard workers and their dances are very entertaining. But the language of the judges is much more difficult to understand. I's like code-words and I honestly don't understand it. Words are so horribly mispronounced as to be unintelligible. So I try to discern, did they like it or did they not - and that's all I can deduce. T...... more

I realize that Lil Mama speaks the street language of Brooklyn. But this IS a national TV show, and as such, it would be great to use words and phrases that MEAN SOMETHING to the majority of the audience watching the program. The judging portion of the program is meaningless to me because I do not speak Brooklyn Street language, from the particular street that Lil Mama grew up on. And there is no secret decoder ring or a street dictionary anywhere that helps me to understand what is the meaning of the ...... more
