@Anthony_Galindo You make a good point. At CES 2008, I actually witnessed the same "new" 3D technology being employed in movies like "Coraline" and it's impressive. They showed me "Madden" in 3D. There's no technical reason games couldn't make a swift transition to this kind of 3D, but the HDTVs on the market aren't equipped with the technology. Given the difficulty we've seen in standard HDTVs making inroads with the mainstream, proper 3D for games will remain a pipedream for the time being, I think.... more

Above, I concede the problem could have less to do with "Resident Evil 5" not having run 'n gun mechanics and more that it lacks a cover system. "Gears of War" treats the player like a mobile turret, as does "Resident Evil 5." What if Capcom allowed you to properly hide behind cover, thus increasing mobility and giving some breathing room from the impending zombie horde?... more
