No matter what the facts are, a man should never hit a woman. He should just walk away and if she has done anything or annoys him then why does he continue to be with her. This is the twisted society that we live in, in which we try to blame the victim by wanting to know if she did anything to "provoke" him? What if she just looked at him the wrong way, would that be a good excuse? Or does it have to be necessarily him getting an illness or maybe even alcohol a good enough excuse?... more

Whether true or not, no one should be happy or wish for Rihanna to be smacked. Whatever you may think of her does not endorse anyone to abuse another human being, would you like it if you were abused and someone said, "Good for you, maybe now you'll learn and get what's coming to you." No one would like that, saying that you agree is like a license for him to or any man to abuse a woman. Making many men forget that they came from a woman. True Life: I'm a Nuyorican

I was deeply disappointed in the portrayal of "Nuyoricans" in this True Life. It made it seem that this is a population that is surrounded by nothing but troubles. Yes, there are many who live in a house with many people in it, but that is not just Nuyoricans, all cultures have experienced this. I am ashamed that MTV didn't try to find college students or people who have overcome the adversities of life.
